What are anti-wrinkle injections?
Injection of a substance such as Botox ® to relax muscles of the face.
This reduces the appearance of fine lines/wrinkles and can also help to lift or lower certain aspects of the face and achieve facial balancing effects.

An example of a lifting treatment would be a brow lift, whereas a lowering injection would be treatment for a "gummy smile".

Are there any risks?
Botox ® injections are very safe. Occasionally there is bruising and swelling but this settles by itself.
Asymmetry can occur but this can very often be corrected at a review appointment 2-4 weeks after the first injections.
Very rarely there is the risk of eyelid/brow drooping or infection. Dr Luke has never knowingly observed these complications in practice.
