Tear Trough Undereye Example

What is the tear trough?

This is the dip in the under eye area between the eyelid and the cheek that can make us look tired or aged. It is caused by volume loss, creating a hollow.

How can we treat it?

After a thorough assessment, Dr Luke often uses a combination of needle and cannula  technique to replace lost volume under the eye using a lightweight hyaluronic acid filler product. In particular, Redensity II which is licensed for this purpose. This takes 30-45 minutes.

Post-Treatment

After treatment you will experience some swelling and puffiness. This will take about 24-48 hours to settle with the final result being visible after 2 weeks. Additional filler can be added after this point if needed or requested. There is a risk of bruising which will settle after 7-10 days.

It is advisable to avoid wearing makeup, exercising or drinking until the next day.

How long does it last?

Tear trough filler lasts up to 12 months.
