Terms & Conditions
Information for Patients

-
All new patients are required to complete a medical questionnaire prior to their treatment. This is to ensure that they can have the treatment safely and to rule out any contraindications (medical conditions that make the treatment unsafe). New patients should ideally have an e-consultation or a face to face consultation pre-treatment but this is not absolutely necessary by UK law. If they have had the treatment previously then this can preclude a full pre-treatment consultation.
-
Per GDPR and GMC guidelines, patient information will not be shared with third parties and clinical information is kept strictly confidential. Consent will be requested from patients to allow Dr Luke to publish before/after photos on select platforms for the purposes of education and to illustrate what these treatments can do. If required, only the treatment area will be shown and all attempts to maintain anonymity will be upheld.
-
It is the treating clinicians decision ultimately whether a treatment is suitable or not. This is subject to the discretion of Dr Luke. Strictly, under-18 year olds will not be treated. If the treatment is deemed inappropriate/unnecessary or if there are concerns of body dysmorphia, Dr Luke reserves the right to refuse treatment.
-
Honest opinions will be given where asked. This is not meant to insult but to give an honest, professional opinion of what might benefit individual patients.
-
If patients are either happy or dissatisfied with any aspect of their care, Dr Luke is open to all forms of feedback. He is always willing to listen to concerns from patients and strives to improve his practice wherever possible.
-
Occasionally, treatments may overrun or clinics may run late. All efforts will be made to prevent this and patients time is very much respected. If clients cannot run late, it is recommended that an early appointment slot is booked to reduce the risk of this.

Payment and Deposit
-
Payments will be taken via card reader, cash or bank transfer. Occasionally there may be technical issues so patients should please consider alternative payment methods to their usual method.
-
Patients are strictly required to submit a £50 deposit to hold an appointment.
-
The £50 deposit acts as a consultation fee, if treatment does not go ahead this fee is retained for Dr Luke's time and professional opinion.
-
Deposits for treatment appointments will not be refunded if patients do not give at least 48 hours notice of cancellation. This is to compensate for having an open appointment slot at short notice. The deposit can be used to transfer to new date if within this 48 hour period. This gives reasonable leniency for sickness or family circumstances. This can only be done once otherwise it is forfeit.
-
If patients do not arrive within 20 minutes of their treatment time they will be classed as late. Efforts will be made to see late patients at the end of the clinic if there is time. Other patient's appointments will not be delayed to facilitate this. If a patient declines to wait until there is a sufficient gap or time and leaves, their deposit is forfeit.
-
If a patient doesn't arrive at all on the day without communication their deposit is forfeit. A further deposit will be required for a new date if they wish to pursue treatment another time.

Specifics - Anti-Wrinkle Injections
-
Doses of anti-wrinkle treatment differ for everyone and doses are subject to discussion with Dr Luke. Doses given previously by other clinics will be taken into consideration but ultimately the final treatment plan will reflect the concept of "more can always be added". It is ideal to take things in steady steps and all patients will be offered a review and a top up. This top up must take place 2-4 weeks after the initial treatment.
-
If the review appointment and top up injection doesn't take place within 31 days this will not be provided. There is medial evidence that doing the top up past this period can lead to increased resistance to toxin based products and reduced effectiveness of future treatment.
-
Top up treatment is not always necessary - if the result is deemed satisfactory then further injections will not be administered until a new treatment course, which is typically 3-6 months later.
-
Botox does not work for 6 months and then immediately stop working. It can wear off gradually so some patients may see a return of movement at the 2-3 month mark. Further treatment can be given but policy is to repeat treatment at the 3 month point at the earliest. This will not be complementary and will be charged as a new treatment.

Specifics - Dermal Filler
-
Dermal filler is charged by the syringe, not by the area.
-
Honest advice will be given as to what might work for patients based on their individual anatomy, needs, expectations and budget. Dr Luke adopts a less is more approach so treatment may be recommended in a step-wise fashion.
-
If hyaluronidase is used to dissolve, further filler treatment will not be free of charge.
-
If patient treatment has been done elsewhere, they will be initially encouraged to seek input from their prior practitioner. If this is unsuccessful, Dr Luke will review the patient and determine whether he will undertake correction or management. He reserves the right to decline treatment.
-
In the unlikely event of complications occurring after treatment with Dr Luke (this includes granuloma, vascular occlusion, lumps that are visible, lymphoedema, infection, allergic reaction), all efforts to rectify the issue will be undertaken without extra charge. Asymmetry does not count as a complication.

Refunds

-
Treatments delivered are done so according to industry recommendations and using the best possible quality product by a highly qualified professional. Ultimately, the fees incurred by these treatments reflect the professional service provided and the training level of practitioners. Time will be given to explain the treatment, consider any concurrent medical conditions and explain the risk of complications and what can be done to mitigate them. Administration will be done to the highest level of care possible and aftercare will be comprehensive with a point of contact via email or phone and aftercare literature provided via this website. It is up to the patient to read this and to do what is recommended.
-
Even when things go according to plan, it may be that patients are not satisfied with the outcome. If this is the case, a refund is not possible based on the above considerations.

Ultimately Dr Luke will make all efforts to reply to queries, concerns and considerations. Ultimately, a clinic has to be run to a professional standard. It is expected that patients engage with a similar level of consideration and engagement to ensure a smooth doctor-patient relationship.

By booking into The Mayfair Clinic it is acknowledged that individual patients are in agreement with the above set of terms and conditions.
